How simulated testers find what breaks, and what they cannot tell you
Validator sends simulated testers through the real flows of your product in a browser. A person on our team checks what they found before you see it.
The short version
You tell us what to test: a live product, a clickable prototype or a concept. We build a test group of simulated testers, run them through your flows in a real browser, and review the results. You get a ranked list of problems, each with proof, and we retest your fix.
1. A test group, built for your audience
Each simulated tester is a behavioural profile: age, experience, digital skill, patience, privacy concern and a goal. These traits change how a tester clicks, hesitates, reads and gives up, so a patient expert and an anxious first-time user do not take the same path through your product.
A test group can start from four inputs: your own customer data (exact people, only with your permission), a brief of your target audience, population statistics, or specific roles such as an adviser or a board. Whatever the input, we keep the group diverse so the test does not only follow the easy path.
2. Real runs in a real browser
Testers work through the screens of your product the way a person would: they read, choose, fill in forms and move on or stop. Every step is recorded with screenshots, so a finding is something that was seen, not guessed.
We also run targeted edge cases on purpose, for example a customer who declines advice, a failed payment and a retry after an error.
3. A person checks every result
Before a report reaches you, a person on our team reviews it. Important findings are replayed and confirmed. If a finding turns out to be caused by our own test tool, we withdraw it and say so.
4. A ranked report with proof, then a retest
The report ranks problems by impact and shows the steps and screenshots behind each one. When you have fixed something, we retest it, so you know whether the fix worked.
What Validator cannot tell you
- It is not a replacement for real customers. Simulated testers find where people get stuck and where flows break. They do not prove that people will buy, and they do not replace interviews with real customers when you need to understand motivation in depth.
- It does not give you a percentage of accuracy. We do not claim that simulated testers match real people at a given rate. Our own benchmark against real people is a next step, and we will publish it when it is done.
- It tests what is reachable. We agree test or staging access with you first. Parts of a product behind something we cannot or may not enter are not covered.
